While I'm Alive began 2006, after some time as a plain hardcore punk pre-version of itself, with a new lineup and a mission to explore the space between metal, mathcore and ambient.

While I'm Alive is Kalle Vaintola, Vesa Laine, Olli-Pekka Saloniemi and Ville Kaisla.

Ükte / 2011

Released after three years amidst a slow and turbulent 100% DIY process, Ükte is While I'm Alive’s first full length album, following a demo, compilation tracks and a 12” split mini-LP with Rites of the Youth. A genre-defying fusion of gloomy odd-timed riffs, ominous psychedelia and no-holds-barred aggression, Ükte is the perfect soundtrack of individual evolution vs. mankind’s general decline.
